Erin – House Party: Uncensored
Baby, what you got goin' on Saturday?
You know, words got it, there's gonna be a party,
Out of town about half a mile.
Four wheel drives and big mud tires.
Muscadine wine
Oh baby, you can find me.
In the back of a jacked up tailgate.
Sittin' 'round watchin' all these pretty things.
I get down in that Georgia clay.
And I'll find peace.
In the bottom of a real tall cold drink.
Chillin' with some Skynyrd and some old Hank.
Lets get this thing started.
It's my kind of party.

Jason Aldean (My Kinda Party)
Erin’s dad had set him up with plenty of pizza, snacks,
soda and a keg of beer for his house party; then he and his date had discretely
disappeared. When Danny and Violet
finally arrived at Erin’s house, the party was already in full swing. Erin greeted them at the door with a red Solo
cup in his hand.
“Danny!
Violet! So glad you could make
it! Drop your keys in the hat, grab a
drink and have fun!” He and Danny bear
hugged and slapped each other on the back.
He discretely kissed Violet on the cheek, and got an eyeful of her ample
cleavage in that killer dress in the process.
He had to admit to himself that he might have liked to see more of that,
but he kept himself in check. He had
been friends with Danny for a long time, and it was clearly against the code of
male friendship to openly lust after you buddy’s gal.
Erin wandered back through the clusters of people hanging
around in the living room and den. He
stopped in the kitchen to check on the status of the refreshments, and then
headed out the back door. The country
music could still be heard well out into the yard, and Erin thanked his lucky
stars that they did not have any close neighbors. Earlier in the week, Erin and his dad had set
up a volleyball net that had seen better days, and about a dozen people were
trying to get in a game before it got too dark to see.
Hannah was right in the thick of it, setting up spikes
and wailing serves at the opposing team.
He kicked back and watched her, admiring her athletic abilities and
competitive prowess. It really turned
him on to see her so focused and engaged.
She leaned forward with her hands on her knees, anticipating the next
volley; Erin admired the view of her round bottom. He had been serious about waiting until she
was ready to have sex, but he hoped that day would come sooner than later.
After watching the game for a few minutes, he moved over
to the side of the yard to start the bonfire.
He figured by the time he got it started and rolling, it would
practically be dark anyway. His dad had
talked with him yesterday about the party, and he was okay with people crashing
at the house who wouldn’t be able to safely drive home. Erin figured that he probably would have a
handful of folks who would fall into that category, and he intended to be one
of them.
Once he finished getting the fire going, he circled back
to the volleyball game, but it had disbanded.
He was about to go inside to look for Hannah when Crissy Rogers cornered
him on the back porch.
“Hey Erin! I
really liked your song! You’re a pretty
good guitar player. How come I never
knew that?” She flipped her blonde hair
over her shoulder and tilted her head to one side, smiling at him. She sat against the railing, holding her beer
in one hand.
He stood in front of her.
“For one, you never asked. And
for two, I don’t play football, so I figured you didn’t know I existed.” Erin was genuinely surprised that Crissy was
talking to him. As the co-captain of the
cheerleaders, she’d never given him the slightest acknowledgement before, and
he was enjoying the attention.
Crissy giggled and put her hand on Erin’s shoulder. “You are so funny!” She slid her hand down and felt his
bicep. “And strong, too!”
This was almost too much for Erin to take. “I guess it’s from doing all of those lifts
in show choir.” He flashed his dimples
at her.
She leaned forward and whispered in his ear. “Maybe you can show me some of those lifts
sometime.” She licked his earlobe to
cement her invitation.
Just about that time, Violet came out the screen
door. Erin glanced her way as the door
smacked shut, and from the look on her face, he knew she’d seen the whole
thing. She hurried down the steps and
headed towards the fire without saying a word.
Erin backed away from Crissy. “Sure, maybe another time.” He turned and went back into the house. He needed a moment alone, but he was pretty
sure that he was not going to find any place in the house that wasn’t already
occupied. He made a right and passed
through the kitchen. He opened the door
on the far side and stepped into the garage, pulling the door shut behind him.
Thankfully, the garage was empty. Erin went and sat in the driver’s seat of his
car, leaving the door hanging open. He
drained his beer and smacked his hand against the steering wheel in
frustration. He was really trying to be
good, and he knew Hannah deserved someone who wouldn’t fool around on her. He hoped that Violet hadn’t really seen
anything, but her face had pretty much confirmed that he had been caught. Not that he had invited the attention from
Crissy, but it really wouldn’t matter what he said if Violet got to Hannah
first.
He hauled his ass out of the car and headed back into the
party to find Hannah. If he stuck by her
for the rest of the evening, there would be no way for Violet to tell on him –
at least not tonight. He scanned the
kitchen for her, then the living room and dining room. Not having any luck, he stepped out the front
door and circled the wrap-around porch.
Hannah finally came into view as he scanned the crowd around the
fire. He smiled and headed her way.
Erin came up behind her and put his arm around her
waist. “Hey there, Beautiful, I’ve been
looking for you.”
She turned her head towards him. “I probably shouldn’t talk to you. My boyfriend will be here any minute, and he
won’t like it that I’m talking to you,” she teased.
“Oh I’m not worried about him. He doesn’t scare me.”
Hannah laughed.
“Okay, take your chances if you like.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” She
pulled his other hand around her side and he locked them at the front of her
waist. He rested his chin on her
shoulder and they stood watching the fire, comfortable in the silence between
them.
Hannah finally voiced her thoughts. “That song was amazing Erin. Did Violet actually write that all by
herself?”
“Yeah. She’s
written a whole lot of stuff that’s just as good, if not even better than
that. It’s the first poem I saw when I
opened her notebook. She’s amazing,
Hannah. You ought to get her to let you read
her stuff sometime. I was serious; all I
did was add some chords and a melody to the words that were already there.”
“That is amazing.
You two were fantastic up there tonight.
You do have something special, Erin.”
“You mean with Violet?”
Erin released his grip on Hannah and turned her around to face him. “There’s nothing going on between me and
Violet, if that’s what you’re saying.”
Hannah stared at him.
“I am not accusing you of having a fling with Violet. I am merely saying that it is clear that you
two have a connection, or a bond of sorts.
That’s pretty special, and certainly not something that happens every
day.”
He laughed out loud.
“I do not have a connection with Violet.
It’s all I can do to put up with her most of the time. She’s bossy and demanding and her standards
are way too high for her own good. She’s
a colossal pain in my ass. I only try to
tolerate her because she’s Danny’s girl.” He clenched his jaw and stared into the fire.
“Erin, you don’t have to get defensive. I’m not trying to start an argument
here. I know where we stand; I am not
trying to upset you.”
Erin wasn’t sure what to say. “I feel like I’m being trapped for some reason. Is there something you’re not telling me?”
She shook her head.
“No. I’m just telling you what I
observed this evening. I think any
number of people who watched you two together on stage would say the same
thing.”
“Let me guess, she told you about Crissy Rogers.” Erin frowned.
“For the record, she came on to me.”
Hannah narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips. “No, but thank you for that confession. Crissy Rogers? First of all, I’m sure she’s had too much to
drink. Plus, I am not that insecure that
you need to try and make me jealous.”
She stared at him. “I like you a
lot Erin, but you really have a lot to learn about relationships.” She shook her head, turned around and walked
away from him.
He watched her go, hands shoved into his pockets. He felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to
see Danny smiling at him.
“Hey Erin!
Fantastic party, dude! I’m having
a blast!” He hung onto Erin for balance,
clearly too intoxicated to stand upright for long.
“Glad you’re having such a good time.” Erin sighed.
“Let’s find you a seat on the porch, buddy.”
“You’re the best friend ever! Have I ever told you how much I love you,
man?” Danny gushed.
“You just did.
You’re a real pal, Danny. I don’t
think you’ll be driving home tonight.”
“That’s what I have Violet for, man. She’ll get me home. She’s my D.D.” Danny pointed his finger and tapped his
temple. “Always one step ahead of you,
man.”
Erin nodded. “I
know, you’re the smart one and I’m the pretty one.” He grabbed Danny around the waist and steered
him towards the porch.
“Yeah,” Danny laughed.
“But at least I’m getting laid.
Violet’s a real firecracker; she can’t get enough of it. My dick’s gonna fall off with the ride she’s
been taking.”
Erin winced at this overshare. “That’s nice, Danny. You really ought to keep that to
yourself.” He found an empty lawn chair
and dropped Danny into it. He turned
around to go, but Danny grabbed his hand.
“She’s a wild animal, man. I can’t keep up with her.” Danny looked a little green, and Erin was not
about to stick around for the upchuck that was coming.
Erin grabbed him by the shoulders, leaned in close, and
whispered in his ear. “You’re
embarrassing yourself to talk about your woman like that. People can hear you. I’m going to go get Violet. It’s time for you to go home.”
Frankly, as far as Erin was concerned, it was time for
everyone to go home. He’d started out
the evening on a high from their performance, but it had quickly worn off. Back in the house, he found Violet collecting
empty plates and cups and emptying them into a black trash bag. He took the bag from her.
“Your boyfriend is drunk out of his mind. You might want to consider taking him home
before he shares more than he already has.”
She sighed. “Okay. Where is he?”
“I left him sitting in a chair on the back porch. He’s pretty unsteady; you’re going to need
help.” Erin paused. “Just to let you know, he’s been running at
the mouth, so you may need to ignore some of his comments.”
“Fantastic. What’s
he saying?” Violet put a hand on her
hip.
Erin ran a hand through his hair. “You probably don’t want to know. Nothing worth repeating, I can assure you.”
“Wonderful. Okay,
I’ll get his keys. Can you bring him
around to the car?”
He nodded. “I’ll
have a couple of guys help me. By the
way, he’s looking a little green, so he may not make it too far in the car
before he has to toss his cookies.”
Violet rolled her eyes.
“More good news. Can’t I just
leave him here?”
He shrugged. “I
suppose, but I have a feeling his mother was expecting him to come home.”
“Say no more. Say
no more.” She sashayed off to get
Danny’s keys.
Erin spotted his buddy Barrett on the way back out and
enlisted his help in getting Danny to the car, where Violet was already
waiting.
He grinned from ear to ear when he saw her. “Hey!
There’s my little sex kitten! Ready
to go home and get it on?”
“I think you need to go home and sleep this off,” Violet
retorted. She looked at Erin. “What else did he say? Never mind, I don’t want to know. You weren’t kidding, were you?” She rolled her eyes.
“Sadly, no. Enjoy
your handful!” He plopped Danny into the
passenger seat and strapped him into his seat belt. Violet put the car in reverse, and Erin shut
the door on Danny’s side. He watched
them back out of the driveway. Someone
tapped him on the shoulder; this was getting old.
Erin whirled around and shouted. “Now what?”
Hannah was clearly startled by his outburst, but she
rallied quickly. “I was coming to say
goodnight. I have to be at the diner at
7 for breakfast, so I need to go. Walk
me to my car.” She took his hand and
they started off down the driveway.
“Hannah,” Erin began, but she cut him off.
“I don’t know what’s going on with you this evening and I’m
sorry that you’re not enjoying your party.
I’m going to give you a mulligan on the Crissy Rogers incident, whatever
that was. We’ll talk later. Go back inside and take care of your guests.” She rose up on her toes and gave him a peck
on the cheek before getting into her car.
Erin knocked on the window and she rolled it down for
him. “I don’t deserve you. Why do you put up with me?”
She smiled at him.
“I know you don’t. I can’t answer
your question; you should be grateful I can’t come up with one. Now good night, Erin Taylor.”
“Good night, Hannah _______.”
He turned back towards the house. It was time to clean up.
